The Fourteenth Biennial Meeting of the North American Fichte Society will be held on the campus of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, beginning the morning of Wednesday, May 22, 2019 and concluding the evening of Friday, May 24, 2019.  Local arrangements will be coordinated by Prof. Gabriel Gottlieb of Xavier University.  

This event will be devoted entirely to Fichte's unpublished lectures on Wissenschaftslehre from 1804.  There are three versions of these lectures, the best known of which is the second series (April-June, 1804), which is also the version translated by Walter E. Wright as The Science of Knowing: Fichte's 1804 Lectures on the Wissenschaftslehre (SUNY, 2005).  Papers dealing with any aspect of the 1804 Wissenschaftslehre on its own or in relationship to other works by Fichte or other philosophers will be welcomed.
